We have worked with a wide range of clients with different interests across the sectors. Here is a small sample of some of our recent work.
The contract was to enable the organisation to take on a wider role as a LIO. The intention was to respond to ChangeUp and other government initiatives, to ensure that an effective infrastructure for the voluntary and community sector was in place. To do this we
Carried out a job evaluation and recommended a new management structure
Provided training and support for staff
Developed a new business plan
Facilitated meetings with the Board of Trustees to clarify vision and priorities and roles and responsibilities
Our role here was to bring together the volunteer centres in a unitary authority to develop a joint approach to volunteer training. We worked with the groups to identify training needs, secure appropriate funding and designed, delivered and evaluated a successful training programme. In addition we carried out research into the training and development needs of organisations working with volunteers.
This contract enabled us to work with a number of regional infrastructure bodies across the country to evaluate their performance against agreed criteria. We were able to adapt and respond flexibly to the needs of both the NDPB and the regional bodies to ensure successful outcomes of the process
For a number of years now, we have been delivering training both to managers and staff teams on effective supervision and performance management. The emphasis was on developing interpersonal skills and building confidence and commitment to the process
The purpose of this contract was to help the partnership, located in a disadvantaged neighbourhood, redefine its vision and purpose and to secure commitment from key stakeholders. This followed a successful capital bid for a new building, which had been the primary focus for a number of years. During the contract we
Designed and facilitated key stakeholder meetings
Set up an innovative consultation process with local residents to ensure that their voice was heard in the development of future services
Worked with one partner organisation to build their confidence to contribute to the partnership
Facilitated conflict resolution sessions between various interest groups
Recommended improved structures for communication between staff, partners and the Board
A contract with this organisation over a number of years has enabled them to develop a new business plan and secure additional resources for the development of innovative new services. This has resulted in a 10-fold increase in funding and importantly a clearer understanding by the Board of their roles and responsibilities. The organisation now provides a range of training and skills development to the local community, enabling local residents to take up jobs within the organisation. The contract has included
Regular away days with the Board and Senior Management Team to identify and review priorities
Providing information and guidance relating to strategic direction
Non managerial supervision for the Director
Advising the organisation on appropriate management structures
The contract was to help put in place a structure for improved management and team working across the service in a large urban authority. This involved
One > one interviews with team members to identify issues and concerns as well as successes; this information provided the framework for the away days
Facilitated away days that focussed on internal and external communication, roles and responsibilities, values and vision across the service
Producing and presenting a report with key recommendations
relating to improved working practices and team development
